I'm not sure what to tell you, but consider the reasons NYC is desperate for HS teachers.

My mother became a JW in 72, when I was 2. I can't be sure when it started, but looking back I can point out a few things that could have indicated schizophrenia. It wasn't until she was refusing to eat, because her demonized JW friends were trying to poison her, that she got help. It's likely she was always crazy, but the JW demon paranoia didn't help any.

Sounds exactly - except for the annointed bit - like my mother before she was put on medication. As far as I know, she did not voluntarily go for help either.

The teenage years are a time for discovering sexual identity. This can become more confusing if the teenager is influenced to believe that their natural sexual urges are wrong. Although I never thought I was gay, I did indeed go through a difficult time regarding sex.

Reveal something "weird" or "unusual" about yourself
by JH inwhatever i drink from the fridge, i put it into the microwave for 10 seconds so that it won't be too cold to drink.. .
whenever i drink ice cold liquids, it irritates my tongue/mouth and often triggers a sore throat.
now you have additional proof that i'm weird .

Mulan, that is not unusual. We tend to expect certain outcomes based on experience and situations. If you apply for a job, you expect them to call you. We don't notice all the times it wasn't HR, just the time it was. If your friend tends to call at 4pm, you will expect it to be your friend. If it isn't, you will be surprised - but will soon forget this inaccurate prediction. If you think about something, you have an expectation - and that expectation will be fullfilled when they contact you.
An interesting experiment: Keep a pen and paper next to the phone. Whenever the phone rings, think about who it might be, and after you answer, write down whether you were right or not. After you get enough calls, you'll be able to see just how "often" you are right. :D
Extra credit: Write down your prediction, the time, and who it turns out to be. -

Qcmbr, on July 14, 1832, Congress passed a tariff act that South Carolina declared null and void. President Andrew Jackson put the U.S. army on alert and the United States expected war in 1832. D. & C. 87 (where the prophecy is made) is dated December 25, 1832. Almost 20 years later, there were again rumors of a civil war brewing, and the LDS Church revived this prophecy. Anybody living in that time period, if told a civil war was coming, would not have been impressed.
Further, it was prophecied "And the time will come that war will be poured out upon all nations, beginning at this place. For behold, the Southern States shall be divided against the Northern States, and the Southern States will call on other nations, even the nation of Great Britain, as it is called, and they shall also call upon other nations, in order to defend themselves against other nations; and then war shall be poured out upon all nations." But war did NOT "pour out upon all nations". -

I haven't been able to narrow it down, but it had to occur between 1907 and the 1930s.

To say it works, or doesn't work, would be misleading. The problems people have that lead them to seek help are not usually ones that can be cured, but rather they can be treated. If you don't feel you are making progress with your therapy, bring this up to your therapist.
